If difficulties arise in placement, there are clearly set out procedures to follow within the placement handbook, which enable all parties to identify the nature of the concerns, record their views, and establish a way forward. In the event that a practice educator has concerns about a student’s progress on placement, it is vital that an Action Plan is put in place. This process would involve the student, practice educator and university tutor.
