Supporting a student in Placement:

When concerns arise about a student, whether this is about their competence, their behaviour or their professionalism, it is important to discuss your concerns as soon as possible with the individual. If your concerns escalate, you may need to refer these on to the University. The University may then determine if any further action is needed. This may involve referring the student for counselling, additional clinical support or for consideration of professional suitability and fitness to practice. Further information is available on the HCPC website.
