Quality of the programme is maintained through a number of mechanisms. For practice all clinical areas used for student placements are audited on an annual basis using a tool known as a Learning Environment Profile. This considers the quality of the learning environment and includes ratio of mentors to students.

Student’s experience of practice is evaluated throughout the programme. Following completion of a clinical module, students complete a clinical evaluation form. The evaluations are disseminated to the clinical areas via the Head of Midwifery.
